From these roots in humanitarian emergencies, our work has expanded its focus to re-envision approaches that advance child well-being more broadly. Our core belief is that children’s care, protection, and development are integrated elements of overall child well-being.

Research projects led by in-country experts – in Uganda, Indonesia, and Colombia –went on to inspire the development of our Network’s growing focus on supporting nationally rooted research institutes. These robust policy-focused research centers are the pillars of the Network, with our Secretariat at Columbia University supporting in a coordination role.
